| 2. | The first time that you run FileZilla, you will need to create a session for your Faculty Website. To do this, click on the Session Manager icon ( | The Session Manager window. Click image for larger view. |
| 3. | Enter in a name for the new site (like Faculty Website), then fill in the following fields:

| 4. | From now on, to connect to your Faculty Website, click on the down arrow to the right of the Session Manager icon ( | The quick-connect menu. |
| 5. | If you entered in the correct password, and your session was setup correctly, you should now see your FTP files on FileZilla (see the screenshot on the right). Your local computer's drives and folders are on the left of the screen, and your FTP site's folders are on the right of the screen. | FTP connected to the Faculty Website Click image for larger view. |
| 6. | To upload a file(s) or directory, select the file(s)/directory on the left half of the screen and drag it to the right half. To download the files to your computer, select the file(s)/directory on the right half of the screen and drag them into the appropriate directory on the left half of the screen. Any files that you place into the website directory on the right half of the screen will show up on your Faculty Website. If you want a page to show up by default, name it index.html or index.htm. | How to upload a file. Click image for larger view. |
| 7. | To remove a file or directory, right-click on the file/directory and choose the Delete File option. | Delete a file via the right-click menu. |
| 8. | To create a new directory, right-click on the file background on the appropriate side of the screen then choose Create Directory. When prompted, enter the name of the new directory. | Create a directory via the right-click menu. |
| 9. | Once you are done uploading and changing files close FileZilla. |
