Q) What do I do before a new employee begins work?
A) 1) Security request:
If the employee only needs access to email, you should complete the Security portion of the Problem Request and request a Windows and LionsLink login.
If the employee needs access to Banner as well, you should include the names of the forms the employee needs and whether the employee needs view or update capability. If you do not know the form names, you can tell us the name of a current employee who uses the same types of forms and information. Remember, we have to get security approved through the proper channels, and this may take some time. You should submit security requests ASAP (even before the employee begins work).
2) Telephone: Does the phone setup need to be changed? Does the display name need to be changed? Does the employee need a long distance access code? If a LD access code is needed, you must provide the budget FOAPAL to charge. Does the employee need voice mail?
