A funny computer related comic.

Assumptions

  • You have a valid windows login and password, and have used it to log on to a wired computer on campus.
  • You have a wireless card that supports the following:
    • 802.11b or 802.11g
    • WPA or LEAP - Authentication
    • You are running Windows XP Service Pack 2. Service Pack 2 is available from Microsoft at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. If you aren't sure you are running Service Pack 2 or not you can verify it by the following:
      • Right click on My Computer and choose Properties.
      • Under the General tab find the label that reads "System:"
      • It should list your Service Pack level under the version portion. If Service Pack 1 is listed or no service pack is listed at all, you need to download Service Pack 2 from Microsoft.
